Hi! I would love to get married on the beach and hold a reception at a local restaurant/location on the jersey shore. I live in NJ and am open to any ideas/location. My wedding party will be smaller - around 65 people and I would like to keep my prices reasonable as we are paying on our own. I am looking for a modern, fun, location that would accomadate a smaller party and also have room for dancing. Was looking at Mcloone%26#39;s Pier House but they may end up being too expensive and not sure if they will accomdate a smaller party (under 100 guests).
I%26#39;d love to hear any suggestions you may have.

Look into Jack Bakers Lobster Shanty in Pt.Pleasant Beach. They are located right on the water. The food is delicious and the views are fantastic. They are reasonably priced. Check out their website. They have a brunch on Sundays if you want to take a ride down the shore to check them out. Also in Pt.Pleasant is Crystal Point Yacht Club.Located on Rte.70 between Brick and Brielle. They are on the water also.I have been to a wedding there and it was spectacular. You can have your ceremony there as well. In Spring Lake there are a few nice places but it will be more expensive.Did you think about getting married on board a riverboat cruise? They have one out of Brielle ,River Belle Cruises, that they rent out for private parties. Where you choose will be easier if you know what your budget is.PM me if you need any additional information.

Martell,s in Point Pleasant Beach- You can have your wedding inside or out on the beach. Visit www.tikibar.com for info.
Mr. C%26#39;s in Allenhurst is right on the beach. We had a party there for 50 people and they did a very nice job. They have indoor and outdoor space.

I have to respectfully disagree with the review on Jack Bakers. I have unfortunately been twice, and while the setting is lovely, the food is absolutely horrendous. I went with family members twice; we thought the first terrible visit was maybe just an off night. Both visits, the seafood was smelly and not fresh. I don%26#39;t understand this, as it is right on the waterfront. Honestly, I think JB is one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to anyplace. In fact, yesterday, we just drove by JB on the way to Point Lobster for some fresh fish, and were remembering our disgusting %26#39;meals%26#39; with a groan. Just my opinion.
You might want to also post your question on chowhound.com. There is a Mid-Atlantic board that is pretty active with posters from NJ, and there seems to be many people from the PP area posting regularly. Also, nj.com has a restaurant forum as well as a wedding forum. I posted on the wedding forum for some help in finding a place for a Communion party and got some good opinions and suggestions there (even though it wasn%26#39;t for a wedding).
One more thought; off of LBI there is a place called Cedar Bonnet Estate. The setting is beautiful and it%26#39;s right on the bay. I have no idea about the pricing or any other information, but you can probably google for more info. Good luck!
Have you looked at The Breakers in Spring Lake? It%26#39;s a nice hotel with reception rooms, and a big wrap around porch and across the street from the beach. I believe they can do a wedding on the beach, porch, or even on spring lake. Check it out. Just google ';Breakers Spring Lake'; they have different size wedding packages and sample menus and all different options.
I went to a wedding at Cedar Bonnet Estate, just off LBI. Absolutely gorgeous, but per the father of the bride very, very, expensive. See: www.bonnetislandestate.com
The same owner has also built another venue on the bay, mainland off LBI-Mallard Island Yacht Club. Ignore the name as it is not a yacht club. See: www.mallardislandyachtclub.com/
The Boat House Restaurant in Beach Haven (Bay front, not beach front) does weddings, as do some of the area yacht clubs such as the Haven Beach Club. Some of the yacht clubs require a sponsoring member, some do not.
Congratulation and best wishes!
You may find that The Breakers in Spring Lake is more expensive than your budget allows. However, Martell%26#39;s Water%26#39;s Edge in Bayville is very nice, has great food, and can accomodate a small party for reasonable prices. (However, it is bay front, not beach front) Crystal Point Yacht Club in Point Pleasant is also very nice, and affordable as well.
The Black Whale in Beach Haven, runs a paddle boat, The Crystal Queen, down the bay that has hosted private parties.

The Jersey Shore covers a large area. Are you interested in the Monmouth County area, the northern or southern Ocean County area or Atlantic County??
I%26#39;m getting married at Merri-Maker%26#39;s at the Water%26#39;s Edge. Our ceremony will be on the beach and reception indoors. Our wedding will also be under 100 guests, so Merri-Maker%26#39;s could be a location for you to consider. If you%26#39;re interested, here%26#39;s the website:
