Hand Sanitizer Dispensers on Casino Floor TR May 05-06

With work I haven%26#39;t had a chance to write up a TR from this last trip.

But did notice at all 3 Trump properties dispensers located at entrance to casinos, on sides of ticket changers and other locations.

We had a great corner suite for this visit to the Marina. Played BJ at night and spent time hitting the slots with another poster. Dinner of lobster and salad at DJ%26#39;s Steak House. Nice meal!

Really enjoyed new slots at Taj and a found a few new slots at the Plaza.

Good Luck and time to run!

I didnt notice them at the marina my last trip, but since i stayed up from our arrival at 6 till 7am the next morning playing and combining harrahs drinks with the bottle we took with us,my short time spent at the marina was kind of ............fuzzy. its a great idea, hope the others pick up on it.

This swine flu crap is just STUPID. Who wants to go to Mexico for a pig roast with me?!?!?!

We can get great deals i%26#39;m sure!

I%26#39;m with you Oz, particularly given that swine flu is no worse than regular flu - I%26#39;ve already done that this year, so on to something new.

Wilbur fiesta in Mexico - who%26#39;s going?

On the topic of hand sanitizers, I think they%26#39;re a good idea in general in public places, given how widely and carelessly germs are spread.

I agree oz.

BTW Does anyone remember before the ticket system in slots you actually touched money? Probably the dirtiest thing on the face of the earth? Did anyone die from that? No. How many people touch the machine in a given day? Maybe it gets wiped once or twice by the hotel.

How about the table games? How many people touch those chips?

Too much anti-bacterial stuff in not good.

In the good old days, when we scooped out coins, there were hand wipe packets at every cashier. I always thought of them as ';cleaners'; to remove that nasty grey residue, but they also helped kill the germs.

I got *really* sick -- for three weeks, the most debilitating cold of my life -- exactly a year ago after playing at Plaza for over an hour next to a really nice lady who was clearly sick as a dog, coughing, sneezing, hacking. Yes, I should have moved but didn%26#39;t.

For this week%26#39;s trip, my DH made me promise I%26#39;d be more careful. So I read the CDC advice and took along 60% alcohol wipes (not anti-bacterial, pointless for H1N1; alcohol actually can kill viruses). I wiped down nearly every machine I played at. If you were at Borgata Monday or Plaza Tuesday, yes, I was the crazy lady wiping machines, though I tried to be unobtrusive. Won%26#39;t know for a few more days whether it had any effect at all, but I did feel like I was being pro-active.

It seems that H1N1 seldom infects people my age (50+) but I lost three weeks of my life last year (and a few pounds, actually not a bad thing). So I wasn%26#39;t willing to take chances. I think the sanitizer dispensers are an excellent idea. Also think it can%26#39;t hurt to take extra precautions until there are no new cases.

Just remember people that last year over 30,000 people in this country died from the flu.

Swine flu 2 people. One not from this country.

When I wrote the short TR post I mentioned the hand sanitizers....not swine flu.

Just an observation on this last trip not to start a swine panic talk.

I usually carry my own bottle to keep my hands clean as we all know how well the casinos are kept. As like Wythany I have been around others coughing and sneezing and come home with a nice cold.

Good Luck!

thats how i took it blackjack. i always forget to bring it, i thought it was a good bit of info to add to your post.
