Can Someone Give Me A Reason to Keep Gambling at HET

I am a Platimum player at Harrahs, but I also gamble at Borgata. I most probably would be a diamond if I just gambled at Harrahs, but I enjoy the variety of machines each casino offers. I have now reached 4,000 tier credits at Harrahs and have secured my platimum status. Since HET took the CASH BACK away from platimum players, why should I play there. Every non-HET casino gives all players cash back no matter what their tier score is. I like staying at Harrahs and can get comped rooms there easier than Borgata, but I love Borgata%26#39;s restaurants, casino, hotel rooms and the cash back. I know HET is having financial troubles, but I feel like I am being cheated out of something.

I guess my plan will be that if I gamble the rest of the year at Borgata, maybe they will start giving me a Saturday after the summer rush.

Does anybody else feel cheated by not getting cash back?

There%26#39;s your answer. I love Borgata, too, but cannot play at the level required to get their really great offers.

My sister and I have found over the past several years and probably over a hundred visits that ( of all HET casinos) Bally%26#39;s is most generous to players AT OUR LEVEL with reel rewards and cash back. It%26#39;s actually a percentage. It also has our favorite DL, is on the Boards and has great sea views.

We also play at Borgata often enough to warrant free m-t rooms and comedy show but $5-$20 bonus slot dollars isn%26#39;t enough for me to jump ship. Since you and I are at the same tier score right now, I think you%26#39;ll have to invest more than you currently invest to score good deals @ Borgata, jmho.

HOWEVER, there%26#39;s always the chance you%26#39;ll hit it big at Borgata, and then all this discussion will be moot. My friend%26#39;s husband won a nice hand pay there three years ago, hasn%26#39;t been back since, and still gets offers of $50-70 bonus slots.

I didn%26#39;t like the chnage they made that resulted in no cash back either, but the realty is hardly any of that ever made it to my pocket. The biggest advantage I see to HET is the numerous locations around the country they have and the availabilty of comped rooms at those locations. I%26#39;m like you I like the Borgata better but I%26#39;ve come to realize I%26#39;ll never gamble enough to make keep my upgraded black card without being upgraded again.

I%26#39;ve thought of changing casinos since I am going through a really bad losing spell and that should indicate that its time for a change, but we use their junkets to go to all the different casinos in the country and its really a nice getaway esp when you don%26#39;t have to pay for airfare, rooms or food. (we save our comps just for this purpose). So that%26#39;s whats keeping us from changing. I still get slot play but not nearly as much. They are using other methods to lure me, e.g. 10x comps, earn 1500 points and get 100.00 cash, rub offs that gaurantee 25.00 but could win 500.00 (which I never do). These promotions don%26#39;t turn me on. If it wasn%26#39;t for the junkets, I think I would try somewhere else.

I have been Diamond for three years and basically gamble at only at HET properties. We travel to Vegas a few times a year. I agree with Jerry that the lack of cash back for husband does little to make us change to other casino. Last year we stayed 25 nights in Vegas at HET casinos (5 different trips including SuperBowl and summer cash) and about 15 nights in AC. We are not LFB/RFB and use our comps in AC and my host works with us in Vegas. Did I gamble and deserve this? Sure,I am a low Diamond (about 20,000) We take advantage of the free show tickets and all the amenities in Vegas.

I know I could not reach the next level at Borgata and enjoy the trips to Vegas.

I think you should make the decision based on what you enjoy and not on what comps you get. We all make choices in life and sometimes that choice is not based on reason but on your emotional feeing. If you like Borgota then I would play there. If you like Harrahs better, than I would play there an not worry on what it gets you.

where i live helps me decide where i play. i live in far southwest virginia. 10 hrs drive time. I play at het because of their air/room junkets. that being said i will definetly notice the loss of cash back the next trip i make . reason is i went there late april ,my 1st trip in 09. 0 tier score,but in 2 nights i ran up 4495 tier points. . i love playing at borgatta too,but het fits my needs better. my next trip wont be till june or july so im taking a wait and see attitude to see if my last trips play gets any attention and see what my offers show between now and my next trip. dont get yourself sick over it,remember the reason you go to ac is to have fun...........

Frank3, you make a good point. But for me, I just like gambling on slots anywhere. I might like the looks of one better than the other, or the courtesy of one better than the other, but I don%26#39;t feel any emotion to any casino. I play what I play and the more comps I get the better I feel. In my opinion,the junket trips, or even just free rooms throughout the states puts HET 1 step ahead of the other casinos.

good point. in our case my wife like the slots at ceasars better(she plays quarters and finds the ones at harrahs boring) but i just like my dbl/triple diamond dollar slots so i only go there to make her happy.

we both enjoy the borgattas slots but as in the posters case just dont play big enough,often enough to get the perks .

what always screws me up is we can only really go a few times a year so in between trips i might stash away a pretty good bankroll to play with, but then ill go 3-4 or more months without returning. once i did have a host at ceasars after a play big type trip, but then started staying at harrahs on their junket deals and lost my ceasars host. I dont see myself changing casinos even if they dont show me any love after my last trip,but i might consider spreading it around a bit more. we like trump marina too,but eventhough they give me alot of free play its not good until you play for 30 min,so its not just het playing games with your free play and cash back

No cash back? I was a Ballys in March and got cash back good until end of June. When did the no cash back start?
