We are Vegas regulars, but planning a short trip to AC in June to check it out. Two of our traveling companions are chefs, and we all love a great meal. I have looked at the top restaurants list on TA, but wondering what you experts recommend. We don%26#39;t mind a little pricey, but I%26#39;m also interested in breakfast %26amp; lunch recommendations. We will most likely stay at Caesars...we tend to like to be in the middle of the action, so I think we%26#39;d rather be on the boardwalk. We are craps %26amp; blackjack players.
1st trip to AC...looking for good restaurants, best casinos
Well, I%26#39;d be sure to ask for the centurion tower when your checking in. At Caesar%26#39;s there is Mia, in the pier is Buddakan, in Bally%26#39;s theres The Reserve. If you go to Borgata, all the upscale restaurants are very good.

Those are all good suggestions in the Caesars vicinity. (I personally love Mia.)
If you%26#39;re there on a Sunday check out the Sunday brunch at The Reserve in Ballys, it%26#39;s very good. 6ix at Ballys is good for breakfast and lunch (try the quesadilla). There%26#39;s a Johnny Rockets in Ballys if you just want to grab a quick bite.
I like the Trinity Pub in the Caesars Pier.
Walk down the boardwalk towards Showboat for Bill%26#39;s Gyros and the Irish Pub.
If you go to Harrahs, they have my favorite steakhouse of all the Harrahs properties. At Borgata you%26#39;ve got several options like Bobby Flay and SeaBlue.
Rship is in AC right now, but when he gets home I%26#39;m sure he%26#39;ll chime in with some good noncasino options.
also, down in the quarter at tropicana are the palm, carmines, pf changs, cuba libra and red square, you can check out their menus at www.tropicana.net
This is a great question and tends to have a wide variety of answers. But....
When I go on a trip I love to look for the the ';best';Places to eat also...
Here are my choices for AC.
1. Stay away from the chains. You can have them any where
2. Stay away from the casino places. They might be good, but over priced.
3. Go to Docks and Cafe 2825. My opion the best two spots in AC.
Good luck
I ate at Nero%26#39;s on my last trip to Caesars. It was very good.
I%26#39;m told Ombra @ Borgata is fantastic if you feel like taking a trip. If you like steak Borgata has Flay%26#39;s (modern) and Old Homestead (traditional). Both are very different, but very good. Great service at both.

I agree w/Sidmerkin on avoiding chains %26amp; casino restaurants. %26amp; add, in June, the waterfront outdoor dining porch will be open, this place is out~of~the~way anywhere u stay in AC, but, highly reccomend The Old Waterway Inn in Venice Park. The place is chef~owned and in an old yacht club. They have a great view of the AC skyline and a fireplace. The service is attentive and the menu reasonable. The prices are not the %26#39;jacked~up%26#39; prices that you often find at the casino restaurants. It is difficult to find so call for directions b4 u go there, even if u take a cab.

My favorite entree is Admiral%26#39;s Feast which is a petit tenderloin [filet mignon] with a half lobster tail stuffed with crabmeat $29.95 No website, but here is review from AC weekly www.acweekly.com/view.php… more reviews boorah.com/restaurants/…194BC6329A.html %26amp; …howstuffworks.com/old-waterway-inn-atlantic…
Knife %26amp; Fork Inn www.knifeandforkinn.com they have Lobster Thermidor [old~time favorite that is now considered passe at most restaurants %26amp; a pain to make at home]. Tun Tavern ~ try sitting at the bar for beer reccomendations, the servers do not appear trained on the microbrews http://www.tuntavern.com/index.htm
Los Amigos I cannot name a favorite here, I like everything on their menu http://www.losamigosrest.com/AC/
WonderBar [bayfront] the Tiki Bar will be open in June http://www.wonderbarac.com/
Irish Pub cheap eats!!! St James Fries %26amp; Shepard%26#39;s Pie www.theirishpub.com/flash/AtlanticCityPub.htm
homemade sausage at Tony%26#39;s Baltimore Grill http://www.baltimoregrill.com/
visit the aquarium http://www.acaquarium.com/ coupon achotelexperts.com/coupons/ac_aquarium.htm %26amp; try lunch at either the Flying Cloud http://acflyingcloud.com/ or BackBay Alehouse http://www.backbayalehouse.com/
Thanks for all of these responses. I have my list and will definitely check these restaurants out!
I overlooked breakfast b4.
Constantino%26#39;s at 1100 Pacific Ave ~ at Pennsylvania Ave [Taj is 1000 Pacific ave] has breakfast %26amp; lunch only. It is owned by a Greek woman %26amp; her daughter waits tables. Larilu wrote a review about it:

if there is a line here, The Whiskey Grille is right down Pennsylvania Ave {20 N Pennsylvania Ave} %26amp; u can get a shot %26amp; a beer w/breakfast. review: http://www.acweekly.com/view.php?id=8093
for a Philly style breakfast, try Philly%26#39;s Soft Pretzel Factory on the boardwalk in Bally%26#39;s. They are fresh~baked and approx 3/$1.50 There is also a Dunkin Donuts, 1601 Boardwalk ~ at Kentucky Ave. There is a Country Kitchen at 3000 Boardwalk ~ at Morris Ave, but this can be a bit of a long walk
Just got back from Vegas today and miss it already. Just a warning, AC is nothing like Vegas, that said, it recently became a little more upscale with the addition of the Pier shops, the Borgata and Chelsea Hotel. There are some fun outdoor tiki bars like Martini Bar (Bally%26#39;s) and the one in front of Trump%26#39;s place. Currently, I think the best restaurant in terms of both ambiance and food is Buddakan in the Pier shops which is attached (upstairs) to Caesars. As many have said stay away from most of the no-name casino restaurants.Bobby Flay Steak is great, albeit it is trendy vs. the Old Homestead(Borgata), The Palm (Tropicana) or Knife and Fork (off the Boardwalk).
Trump Taj recently added Il Mulino, the one in NYC is great not sure how this one is.
Have fun!
