Is there anywhere near AC or close to it that you can camp on the beach? I%26#39;m trying to plan a trip where we stay at a hotel and go to a casino for a night or two, then camp on the beach for the rest of the vacation. I%26#39;d like the campsite to be on, or close to a beach. Any suggestions?
Beach CampingI don%26#39;t know of any location that allows camping on the beach. You might want to try calling Brigantine as they have an area on the north end of the island that is isolated as well as Ocean City as the far south end has a state park. I%26#39;ve never heard of camping being allowed there but that might be your best chance.
Beach CampingWhen I opened this thread, on the bottom of the page is a couple of links for AC campsites.
Try these:

I don%26#39;t know if this is what your looking for, but thought it might help.

Island Beach State park came to mind, but it does not allow camping, here is a link for camping in Atlantic County

Belleplain State Forest has a great campground not far from AC. It’s south of Ocean City and a few miles inland. It has a nice lake w/beach for swimming, and great trails for hiking and biking. They have over 150 campsites. Lean-tos, cabins and yurts are also available. You can also rent canoes, fish, or just explore or have fun on the playground or ball field.

I believe they call beach campers in AC homeless people!
Seriously, There are lots of camp grounds in Cape May County and we have camped there, but I am not aware of any beach camping around the area. The closest one I know is on Route 9 just south of Ocean City (I believe it%26#39;s call Whipperwill or something like that). We stayed closer to Sea Isle City and there are a ton of campgrounds along route 9 in that area. While there is a trailer park just across from the beach in Strathmere, I don%26#39;t recall any campgrounds on the beach or even on the bay side of either the barrier islands or the mainland. Many of the campgrounds in the area are very ';beachy'; because of their location, but not on the ocean.

you have to inherit a spot in this trailer park
There%26#39;s also camping at Bass River, which is approximately 15 miles North of AC (Exit 50 on the GSP).
Have fun,

Thanks for all the responses! Looking through the posts it seems that there aren%26#39;t any campsites on the beach near AC, so I%26#39;ve basically given up on that dream. Has anyone ever been to Birch Grove Park? Link is here: www.cityofnorthfield.org/main/birchgrove.asp.
If this site doesn%26#39;t work out, I might just stay at a hotel in AC the entire time.
Birch Grove park is very nice %26amp; picturesque. I have taken a bunch of pix there. there are lakes onsite that have trails around and pedestrian bridges over them, there is also mini~golf. In the autumn, they have haunted hayrides. I have not camped there, but have experienced a lot of ticks there [I usually refer to it as %26#39;tick park%26#39;]
BTW, the link u posted is giving a 404 error
