Hi,
Husband and I are traveling with 3 children (ages 4 - 8) and are staying with relatives in Jersey City. We%26#39;ll have a car, but wanted to see what would be the best way to get from Jersey City to Rockefeller Center in mid-June. Once we get to NYC, we%26#39;ll just take a taxi or walk around, but what would be the best way to get to Rockefeller center?
Thanks, Alma

PATH
once you NYC, people use the subway
Transportation advice: Jersey City to Rockefeller Center
Thank you! If we%26#39;re going in and coming back in the same day, is there a reason why we should get a one-day unlimited pass? I think a single-ride ticket for each way should be fine, right?
If you don%26#39;t mind walking, the cheapest way would be to take a direct bus from Jersey City into NYC (they stop at 42nd street terminal), and then walk the 15 or so blocks to Rockefeller Center. You could sight see along the way - or you could take the subway from 42nd street station up to the Rockefeller station
There are a number of buses from JC that go directly into NYC - it would depend where you%26#39;re leaving from in JC
Path would probably be faster than the bus. Once in NYC subway I guess.

Right, if you are only making one trip to Manhattan then one trip back, the single-ride tickets are fine.
Taking the PATH + subway is faster, but if you walked you%26#39;d be walking through the heart of Times Square. Great for sightseeing and taking pictures. Rockefeller Center is actually only 8 blocks (the short ones) + 2 avenue (the long ones) away from the bus station.
Thank you for the advice!
