Taking wine on plane- terminal C Newark

Does anyone know this?

I am leaving from Newark to Rome from Terminal C

in the Newark airport and want to take 2 bottles

of wine onboard the plane. I know that I can

purchase the wine in terminal C somewhere but

will they check me right before getting on the

plane and make me throw it away since it is more

than 3 ounces - should I put it in a water bottle

or coke bottle and carry it by hand? Also, if it

fails can my party buy wine by the glass on Continental and if so, what does it cost?

I don%26#39;t know off the top of my head but I remember last week on a fligh from Miami being allowed to bring a soda that I bought in the airport on the plane. I know your not allowed to bring liquid beyond the security check however anything you buy beyond that I think your allowed. however with alchol it is a little differnt.
