I am not sure Frank and I will make it after all. Our neighbor and very close friend passed away suddenly at the young age of 50, and we have things to help with here. We may still go for a night, since we have family in town that are dying to go, but we are just not in a festive mood. If any of you are in the DC area, his Obituary is in today%26#39;s Post. Shouldn%26#39;t be hard to find, he is the only 50 year old from Stafford.
If we are able to pop in, we will.
I hope everyone has a great time, weather looks like it will hopefully be OK??
Saturday's Meet
that is a shame. way too young.ill have a good thought for his family.
Saturday's Meet
Frank and Barb, I am SO sorry! 50 is way too young, and my heart goes out to his family and friends, including you of course.
If you can stop in for a drink, great, otherwise don%26#39;t worry about it. We%26#39;ll still love you, but you will be missed :-) Many hugs to both of you - please pass them on to his family.
Sue
I%26#39;m so sorry to hear that honey. :-(
Let me know if I can do anything.
I am saddened by your news. I understand your feelings. We will miss u2 at DF. we are looking fwd to seeing u next time
oh that is really sad... and understandable that you won%26#39;t feel too festive..
Very sad news, our prayers are with you.
Bill
So sorry for your loss, is is so difficult to understand when someone is so young. Thoughts go to you and his family
On a slightly brighter note, his wife and I have spent the last 3 days sitting on the porch, handling details, and, honestly, drinking. She mentioned one thing that really saddens her is all the travelling they were finally ready to do now that the last child is done with school. I assured her that I would be her travel companion, and when she was feeling a little better, we will take her to AC with us. It was nice to talk about some plans for things to do in the future. Our neighborhood is very close-knit, we have that kind of neighborhood like you see on TV, we hang out outside all the time, work on the yard, grill out, kids play ball, and this is a real wake-up call since 4 people all turned 50 this year, time to take your health a bit more seriously. I appreciate all your kind works and prayers as we go through the Memorial service and burial Thursday and Friday. He was an Irish man who loved his beer, so if I can pop in Saturday we will have a round in honor of Johnny!
