planning a day trip to AC next week..is the beach free? or like do you need a pass or how does that work? also where can i find parking? thanks in advance!
day trip..beach/parking
The beach in AC is free, if you park at a casino parking lot on the Boardwalk, join their players club and run a few bucks through a slot machine and you can print a voucher for free parking

Are you just going for the beach? If so there are nicer beaches in Wildwood..or closer to AC - Brigantine... until Memorial Day all NJ becahes are free..
Most casino parking is between $5-$20 depending on if you have a players card or not..
AC beaches are free. it was mentioned there are other beaches u can visit, I do not believe that any beaches are open for the season this week. upside: no beachtags [$] needed. downsides: no lifeguards on duty %26amp; the water temp is around 55F %26amp; it%26#39;s not very warm yet %26amp; the ocean water temp is keeping the air temps down [link below] %26amp; public restrooms %26amp; showers wont be open %26#39;Restrooms and Showers: Restrooms are located along the Boardwalk at Bartram Avenue, at Albany, Chelsea, New York, New Hampshire and Caspian avenues, at Kennedy Plaza at Mississippi Avenue, and at the Garden Pier at New Jersey Avenue
Showers are located at Lifeguard District Stations and at Bartram, Albany, Chelsea, Texas, Mississippi, Michigan, Kentucky, South Carolina, States, New Hampshire and Caspian avenues, and at Casino Beaches. City changing booths are located at Albany and South Carolina Avenues.%26#39; [some AC public restrooms are open now, but not the showers] …about.com/od/…ac_beaches.htm

atlanticcitynj.com/visitorsthingstodo/beache… %26#39;Lifeguards are on duty from 10am - 6pm at 50 locations from Caspian Ave. to Jackson Ave. July 1 - Labor Day. A limited number of beaches are protected from Memorial Day to July 1, and Labor Day to September 30%26#39;
im not 21, so would that matter if i parked at a casino? and if the beach isnt open..like can we still walk on it and such?
if you are not 21, you cant get a players card, you can still park at the casino and pay full price. most boardwalk casinos self park are $5. you can still walk on the beach, i dont know if i would do it at night.
on Sun we saw lots of ppl on the beach. they were walking, sunning %26amp; playing. u can use the beach, but w/the water temp being 55F http://www.wunderground.com/MAR/AN/453.html I suggest that u do not get in the ocean. it%26#39;s skin numbing cold
If you do even consider going in the water wear a wetsuit. I took pictures of surfers—in wetsuits—on a freezing day in February. LOL I guess I should post some of them?
ok awesome, thanks guys! i wasnt planning on going in the ocean..just walking on the beach
If you get bored or too burned on the beach, and/or if you might like taking pictures or sightseeing from the 3rd tallest lighthouse in the US, check out the lighthouse. It’s only a few blocks from the boardwalk.

If you get hungry, try to finish a sandwich at the White House Sub shop, again only a few blocks walk from the boardwalk.
