My wife and I are going to AC Friday 5/15 and staying overnight. We are not staying at a casino hotel. We%26#39;re using my partners house in Brigantine. So we aren%26#39;t attached to any particular AC location. We are Harrah%26#39;s members so we only play at HET properties, usually Caesar%26#39;s. I%26#39;m trying to decide where to have dinner Friday night.
1. No seafood. My wife is allergic.
2. No steakhouses. I don%26#39;t eat red meat.
Not looking for anything really fancy or expensive. Something casual but nice with a good variety of options would be great. We%26#39;ve been to Cafe Roma at Caesars. I%26#39;ve heard that 6ix at Bally%26#39;s is good. I%26#39;ve also heard that the 24 Cafe at Trump Plaza is good.
Any other suggestions along those lines?
Where should we eat Friday night?
Hi Disney
Well you crossed off my two faves seafood %26amp; red meat.
I like Six it has a bar and a large variety.
Have you ever tried Mansion Cafe at Showboat? It is lovely - has a great feel and an extensive menu.
Harrahs has an great buffet - fresh stir fry while you wait, a fresh pasta station and carving boards usually have turkey, chicken or pork in addition to the red meats. Good chinese selecion. Sushi. Nice desserts. They do have seafood, but should be able to avoid that.
Have fun
Where should we eat Friday night?
Yuki~Hana 3628 Atlantic-Brigantine Blvd. Brigantine (609) 266-7608
it is both Chinese %26amp; Japanese, BYOB. I believe u can find something for both u %26amp; wife here. when entering Brigantine, it is on your right just b4 the circle/lighthouse
I%26#39;ll second the recommendations for 6ix and the Mansion Cafe, as I%26#39;ve thoroughly enjoyed both of them. If you%26#39;re looking for late night options, Bill%26#39;s Gyros are also good, tho I recommend sticking with gyros, as I can%26#39;t vouch for anything else, except for the fries, onion rings, and bacon and cheese omelets. But the gyros are the best thing on the menu there and if you%26#39;re not fans of red meat the chicken gyros are yummy too.
I can%26#39;t recommend 24, as everything I%26#39;ve had there tastes like a tv dinner, tho I do like the 24 hour restaurant at the Taj (Plate, I think). They are definitely trying to improve service there, as there have been some problems in the past, but I%26#39;ve had nothing but good food and excellent service there.
If you%26#39;re going for something like Cafe Roma, 6ix is your best choice IMO. Enjoy your stay!
[Venusuz totally forgetting eating takeout from Yuki~Hana Sun] It%26#39;s OK Venusuz, I respect your opinion, I understand if u did not like their food. I just do not understand that if u disliked it, why did u polish off the whole thing?
Oops, was that where we got the sushi and great sweet and sour chicken? You should know I don%26#39;t pay attention - I thought you were recommending another gem that I%26#39;d never been to. RShip%26#39;s right - Yuki Hana WAS really good.
no prob Venus, everyone gets a ribbing from me occasionally. I admit I was feeling slighted as u did 2nd my reccomendation for Irish Pub on the surfing post %26amp; since it was Mom%26#39;s Day, we opted for takeout, while u scootered to did a little gaming
Italian might be a good move for you. I%26#39;ve read here that MIA is really good.
There is a great spot off the boardwalk also, but I forget the name. It%26#39;s smallll.
Good luck, let us know what you eat!

I was assuming MIA was more expensive than what we were looking for. I love George Perrier. We%26#39;ve eaten at Le Bec Fin numerous times and Brasserie Perrier as well.
As it turns out, we may not be picking a place for Friday dinner. I thought we were meeting friends for lunch on Saturday but we might be doing dinner with them Friday instead. If so, they%26#39;ll pick the place as they always treat us with their comps, so we%26#39;ll be at Trump Plaza, maybe Roberto%26#39;s. Their Sunday brunch is wonderful but we%26#39;ve never eaten there any other time.
Of course, if we do that, then we need a place for lunch on Saturday, so the question still applies. Whichever meal we need to get, I think we%26#39;ll check out 6ix. I%26#39;ll post a report when we get back no matter what we end up doing.
I don%26#39;t know if they%26#39;re still on the menu, but the chicken quesadillas at 6ix were great! Let us know how Roberto%26#39;s was - I have Trump comps to use up, lol.
Mia%26#39;s is not open for lunch on Saturday - but they are more reasonable than you think. They do have more seafood and beef choices, but also have some very nice chicken and pork.
Think $20 range for entrees. You can also sit at the bar and partake of their tasting menu.
Shoot - that reminds me. There is/was a (realitively nice) restaurant (a chain) in AC that has really inexpensive bar food during happy hour. Can anyone remember what that is? If not I%26#39;ll try to find it tomorrow.
