Is it still there?
What happened to the Osprey Bar in Manasquan?
Surfing and found your question. I heard it closed years ago.

What happened to the Osprey Bar in Manasquan?Still around, no longer the longest bar in the world, but it%26#39;s still around!
Found out Salvation is having a concert in May. I think my old friends (literally - we%26#39;re in our early 60%26#39;s!) are planning a reunion to sing and carry on like we did in the 70%26#39;s. Hopefully our walkers and canes won%26#39;t get in the way :-).

Yup, still there. It%26#39;s kind of funny because in the old days, the Osprey was THE bar to go to in Manasquan, with Leggetts getting the overflow. Now it is completely the opposite, Leggetts is the hot beach bar in Manasquan. They do a beach volleyball league, etc.
It is still there .... that place brings back GREAT memories ... the summer of 1985 (22 years old) I was in a rental ... anybody remember Kirsch ... and the shacks that he rented on first ave and all over Manasquan?... I was on first avenue right next to Leggets Sand Bar ... with Osprey just steps away ...... I can only say that that was a summer that will never be topped for me ........ The Osprey would get good bands and the lines to get in would wrap around the corner and down the street ..... I would go over early .. pay get my hand stamped ... and just hop into the parties on first ave ... Leggets .. then back to the Osprey ...... GOOD TIMES!
Leggett%26#39;s is still the bar to go to ON THE BEACH. Go inland 4 blocks and O%26#39;Neill%26#39;s on Main St. is a great place to hang out as well. Spent many nights last summer hanging there and not going anywhere else.
I%26#39;m from South Jersey. I rented a house on Brielle Road for 5 summers 1986-1991. We spent every weekend at the Osprey. Sundays with the Party Dolls. Lines on the weekend were around the block...until I got VIP passes for me %26amp; my friends. No more waiting in lines. Had a lot of great memories in Manasquan and Osprey with my NYPD friends Bob L, Mike M, lil Joey and Maureen from the Bronx. Best years of my life!
