Tropicana Fiesta Buffet

According to their website:

This all new Havana-themed buffet features all of your favorites, including prime rib, carving %26amp; grill stations, international cuisine, sumptuous desserts and more! You’ll love the totally redecorated beachside buffet with expanded seating and station style dining.

Has anyone been since they have changed it? Is it good?

Tropicana Fiesta Buffet

We were totally satisfied when we ate there last month. The food was as described with new chairs %26amp; I guess some new decorations?. A little more pricey than before but we were comped.

Tropicana Fiesta Buffet

Family members of mine went to the Fiesta buffet for mother%26#39;s day and were not impressed. Now, they were comparing it to Harrah%26#39;s and Borgata, so it may have not been a fair comparison. Of course if it is comped, I am sure it would be adequate.

Our food is going to be comped. We are going on a bus trip and staying at the Tropicana for 3 days, 2 nights. With the trip are 2 free dinner buffets per person. I would much rather prefer not eating at the same place both nights that we are there. But, I know that the people that I am going with will want to eat there just because it is free. I really wish they gave a free buffet and then maybe a $15 food comp to be used in any of the restaurants.

What a difference a year must make from the last reviewer. Fiesta Buffet is back to being a ';do not come here again'; on the memory list of resaurants.

It took 20 minutes to get seated and there were open tables throughout the restaurant. Fifteen minutes later I was finally asked what I wanted to drink, and my server never showed up again. As a consolation, another server noticed and started taking care of me...needless to say she got the tip, (though they throw it in a pot and divide at night I believe).

The food was cold, they weren%26#39;t replacing empty food items on the buffet, so even though the selection list was plentiful by menu standards, there wasn%26#39;t much to choose from on the buffet itself.

Even with a bus coupon making the meal only $10 instead of $25, I don%26#39;t recommend Fiesta Buffet to anybody.

Sorry for any confusion...All reviews are bad here lol...I cut and pasted from another review I made, and it just happened to be a year ago they said it was a good place to go because of being redone.

Oh and another point.....a certificate they had posted while going through the waiting line stated they only received a ';Satisfactory'; on cleanliness an atmosphere.

Just last week we had a coupon for bogo so we decided to have a look see $24.95.Seafood fiesta. Well the buffet had a variety of mushy looking veggies, chicken in some kind of sauce to make it appealing and crab legs.Snow crab legs. They also had steak that was not cooked to order. They had a variety of other meats but lets just say that it seemed like cafeteria food. Bad cafeteria food.We did not eat there, even the bogo couldn%26#39;t entice us. Stay away....

The health inspection did give it a satisfactory on WHITE paper.Which means it passed inspection.Unconditionally satisfactory printed on YELLOW paper is bad.It means they did not pass the inspection so when you see this sign on ANY restaurant don%26#39;t eat there!!

On a Sunday night this past February we were in Tropicana looking for a quick bite around 8:30.The cafe and most of the restaurants had a yellow unconditionally satisfactory inspection posted. It was like a game of hide and seek. We would enter a restaurant and ask where their sign was.At Carmines the hostess didn%26#39;t know what we were asking about. She had to ask the manager who then said it was behind the bar .They passed Satisfactory. So did PF Changs. All of the restaurants downstairs and Cuba Libre and Red Square did not.So when you eat anywhere always look for the sign.It is supposed to be posted in a public area.If not ask.

FYI the best buffets in AC are:

1. Borgata

2.Borgata

3.Harrahs

4.Borgata

they did have sign that the new seafood buffet comes with a complimentary glass of wine and on friday nights a lobster tail.

I was there this past weekend with one of those bus trips so it was free, but there%26#39;s no way it%26#39;s worth $25. The selection was extremely limited and heavy on seafood, which might be fine from the crab leg fans, but not for more steak and potato types like myself. In fact, that%26#39;s all I ate.

Did Carmine%26#39;s for lunch the next day and did enjoy that. Mammoth and tasty heros that I%26#39;ll be eating for the next three days.

I%26#39;ve eaten there 2-3 times. If you are starving it%26#39;s better than nothing.

I would stay away from the Trop%26#39;s buffet. Last time we ate there it was comped, and even at that price thought it was too much. Really blech.

Now the Borgata%26#39;s buffet is a whole other thing. Well worth every penny.
