Trip Report 5/15 - 5/16

This is my first TR. I woke up friday morning ready to go to work, but feeling very lazy and itchy to go to AC. So, after cotemplating for about 30 minutes, I call-in sick. have to do some yard work for my wife so she won%26#39;t bit$h too much when I go to AC. After 2 hours of yard work. Yes 2 hours.... had a pleasant drive down to AC as I am from Princeton area. I got to my condo in Ventnor City in about 1 hour and 45 minutes and Start to get ready to play poker. (i am a poker player) I always take a quick shower before heading to casino. (just my superstition that I like to wash up with local water before gambling). Got to ceasar first, play 1-2 no limit hold%26#39;em for about 3 hours. Just up about $50. I was up and down for the whole 3 hours. Decided to eat in Virginia Buffet in WWW. Decent food, nothing fancy. After early dinner, head to Trop and play more poker. The bad beat jackpot was more than $250,000. The place is packed. had to wait an hour just to get to a table. Again, up and down till about 11PM and I was tired and about even. Actually, lost the $100 made from Ceasar. Anyway, Did a little walking around the casino and just watch people play big limit Black Jack. I don%26#39;t have the guts to play big, but enjoy watch those big shots betting $1000 per hand. After midnight, just go back to the empty condo and watch a movie that I brought. Sat. Got up early and fix an item in the bathroom. I am currently selling the condo. About noon, head back to Trop and play hold%26#39;em again. I have no luck Today. I was down about $400 in about 3 hours. So, went to ATM and take out $500 and play the highter limit. After 2 hours, hit a big hand and win back about $350. Decided this will be it for that day as my luck is not that good. Went to eat at the Country Cafe at Days Inn next to Trop. Decent food, nice waitress. For some reason, I like to look into the Hooter but never like the food. For the next 3 hours, just walking around and play a little video poker. Met a nice couple and chat with them for an hour. About 8PM, just tired. deceided just drive home as I should come again this coming week. Anyway, that was my trip

thanks for posting. sounds like you had a fun time.

not a bad gig you got there,id trade 2 hrs of yard work anytime if my wife would let me take off for ac and call in sick anytime.

Nice TR for the first time.

Wish I could call in sick but being self employed I don%26#39;t think it will fly....

yeah, i mean sure i could call in sick too,its my shop. but no way id get away with heading to ac without the wife haha. theres not enough yard work in my whole town for me to pull that one offmy hats off to you fling 85

I have NEVER called in sick to work to be in AC instead. I find this behavior shocking.

Nice TR and not a bad deal, 2 hours work for a day and a halfof playing poker. I%26#39;m glad you caught that last hand - it helps if you can replenish your funds some at least.

Love the comment about liking to look into Hooters, but not the food - who goes there for the food? (They used to have good wings in Baltimore, but that%26#39;s been ages) Give me the ';Savage Men'; show any day, lol.

I agree, it%26#39;s fascinating to watch people nonchalantly win and lose thousands in minutes, and that you can only see on the tables.

You got off easy with ';only two hours of yardwork';. With my luck I%26#39;d call in sick, go to AC and hit a jackpot and be on the evening news. You contemplated 30 minutes to decide between work and AC? Right next door in Hopewell.
