Table games at Pennyslvania casinos

Can someone tell me why table games are not allowed in Pa. I live only 40 minutes from Bethlehem and do not play the slots.

The law in PA stipulates that in these casino games, one person%26#39;s play cannot affect the play of another person.

So if you%26#39;re sitting at a live blackjack/poker/3CP game, the cards you get depend on what the person sitting next to you got. In craps, one person%26#39;s shooting affects all the bettors.

PA has electronic blackjack and 3CP, where each player and the dealer have their own shoes. In these situations, there is no such thing as the guy to my right taking %26#39;my ace%26#39;. The ace was always his.

The electronic BJ tables really don%26#39;t pay well at all. We have them in DE and most of the time if you have a decent hand and the dealer has a 10 showing they will flip another 10 and have 20.....hard to win one.

Best to play a live dealer and you have a chance at winning.

At the beginning the tables were busy and now they rarely have players....a few tables have been replaced by the new rapid roulet tables.

This article was from 1 year ago, but it gives you an idea of what the governor thinks, and he has to sign any legislation that would allow table games.

I enjoy live BJ but also like the electronic version in PA (and DE) precisely because I know what other players are doing doesn%26#39;t matter to my hand. I also like that I can play for $5 or $10 instead of AC where it is minimum of $15 and sometimes $25 (yes, I know there are some $10 tables around but not where I play and you can%26#39;t get near them anyway).

The blackjack at Chester is always busy.

As for the odds, you are dealt from a virtual 6-deck shoe, so your odds are the same as they would be at a live 6-deck table. The only difference is that the virtual shoe gets shuffled after each hand.

steve - the virtual shoe shuffles DURING your hand just like a deck shuffles in VP.

If the virtual six deck shoe gets shuffled after each hand; how can you have the same odds as a live shoe?

Cause it%26#39;s still a random card coming off the top.

correction, still the same a shoe game if they shuffled up after every hand. There can be no card counting.

But shuffling changes the odds because you cannot count the cards.

When you play through a six shoe, even if not counting, you can guess how the shoe is going.

If it is shuffled after each hand; that puts a huge advantage in the casino%26#39;s hand.
